A pioneer in "Kon-Katsu (marriage-hunting)" services provided online and in real life.

As a pioneering company that started a new online service (marriage-hunting) in Japan, we continue to offer new ideas through offline services (real-life marriage-hunting) as well.

2000
  • Bridal Net Inc. is established.
  • Formally launches Japan's first Internet marriage information service (marriage website).
2001
  • Begins event business with marriage-hunting party website "PARTY PARTY."
2003
  • Becomes wholly-owned subsidiary of Yahoo Japan Corporation and creates marriage-hunting service for Yahoo! JAPAN.
2004
  • Provides benefits program services to the Federation of National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Associations (KKR).
2006
  • Becomes independent from Yahoo Japan Corporation through MBO by current executives.
  • Establishes IBJ Inc. and begins Marriage Consulting Federation business.
  • Launches the marriage meeting coordination system "IBJS."
2007
  • Opens new directly-managed lounges in Ginza and Shinjuku and begins directly-managed marriage hunting lounge business.
  • Nippon Bridal Community Inc. (NBC) becomes a subsidiary, with lounges in Shimbashi, Yokohama, and Omiya.
2009
  • Begins restaurant customer referral business with matchmaking party coordination website "Rush."
  • SIer, Inc. becomes a subsidiary in an effort to bring all systems in-house.
  • Opens new directly-managed lounges in Osaka (Umeda) and Kobe.
2010
  • The company celebrates its 10th anniversary.
  • Completes full renovation of the marriage meeting coordination system "IBJS."
2011
  • Makes ample use of social network elements for "Bridal Net" and remakes the site into a marriage-hunting website.
  • Opens a new directly-managed lounge in Yurakucho.
2012
  • Opens a new directly-managed lounge in Tokyo (Yaesu) and Nagoya.
  • Begins community gathering business with Go-Kon (matchmaking get-together) / Machi-Kon (community gathering) service "Rush."
  • Is listed on the JASDAQ market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2013
  • Completes renovation of directly-managed lounge in Omiya, becoming the industry's first marriage-hunting lounge located in a department store (Omiya Sogo).
  • Opens new directly-managed lounge in Ebisu.
  • Completes customer consolidated database, the "IBJ Account."
  • Launches "emma," a shopping website for marriage hunters.
  • The Japan Marriage Consulting Federation exceeds 50,000 registered members.
2014
  • Opens new directly-managed lounge in Osaka (Shinsaibashi).
  • Opens new directly-managed lounge in Shinjuku 3-chome.
  • Establishes joint venture company IBT in Taiwan. *Joint venture with Sunfun Info Co., Ltd.
  • Opens new directly-managed lounge in Ebisu. *Becomes second lounge in Ebisu.
  • Completes full renovation of the marriage meeting coordination system "IBJS."
  • Renovates directly-managed lounge in Shinjuku.
  • Number of marriage-hunting members exceeds 300,000.
  • Changes listed exchange to the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
2015
  • The company celebrates its 15th anniversary.
  • Opens new directly-managed lounge in Sendai.
  • Change listed exchange to the 1st section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
  • Award Winner 「Porter Prize-2015」.
2016
  • Number of marriage-hunting members exceeds 500,000.
  • Opens new directly-managed lounge in Kyoto, Hakata, Nagoya, Chiba, Ikebukuro and Shibuya.
  • Established a subsidiary (Kon-Katsu Institute Co., Ltd.).
  • Acquired two companies (Wind and Sun Co., Ltd. and Kamome Co., Ltd.)
